Just wondering how the process works. I’m curious how much can I expect to earn from staking. Is there an APY? Will there be a lock up period? Are there other platforms where I can also stake without a lock up period?

Staking WMTx lets you earn rewards while helping secure the World Mobile network. Here’s a quick breakdown:
- APY & Rewards: Earnings come from network activity + an inflationary model that started at 11.41% per year and decreases over time. Early stakers earn more, but rewards taper off over 20 years, targeting a 2B WMT supply. Note 11.4% is the inflation not the APY - in the first year, I think you’ll be looking at 35% to 50% APY (NFA).
- Lock-up Period: If staking directly with World Mobile, expect a commitment period (currently set around 7 days).
- Other Staking Platforms: No official info yet, but some third-party options may emerge.
Note: Staking is paused while the migration and upgrades are completed, but it should resume soon!
