World Mobile continues to show that a community-run telecom network can outperform legacy providers. With over 1,100 days of continuous uptime, the main network has never gone offline.
More than 31,500 AirNodes have now been deployed across the globe. Each one delivers internet access to areas traditional towers fail to reach. Over 300 independent operators are actively running these devices, building local coverage while earning rewards.
The network currently processes over 450 terabytes of data every day. It’s live traffic from active users on paid plans, powered by WMTx, the utility token that drives every transaction on the World Mobile Chain.
At the core of this system are EarthNodes. These nodes validate data, run key telecom functions, and keep the network secure. AirNodes handle the last-mile connection for voice, text, and data. Together, they form a hybrid-dynamic network designed to be cost-effective, resilient, and scalable.
The network is live, expanding, and delivering results at global scale.
World Mobile Testnet Processes 12 Million Transactions in 24 Hours
World Mobile’s upcoming blockchain infrastructure is proving its capabilities in real-world stress tests. In a single 24-hour window, the testnet processed 12 million transactions. That’s more than many major blockchains handle in an entire week, and it remained fast and stable throughout.
Even under load, block times dropped to just 0.3 seconds. Fees stayed low, averaging 0.00582 per transaction. These results were made possible by adaptive block timing and targeted optimizations across the stack.
On the same day, the testnet also recorded 8.5 million transactions and over 7 million new wallet addresses. These achievements came after multiple development teams tested different network candidates in parallel, tuning performance and reliability across the board.
The WMC testnet runs on a Layer 3 blockchain purpose-built for telecom. Designed to roll up on Base, it delivers the high throughput and low latency needed for real-time connectivity, without high gas fees.
With this level of performance, the path to dev mainnet is now within reach. The system has been tested, the numbers speak for themselves, and the foundation is in place.
