World Mobile X Call: Leading the DePIN Revolution
As always, World Mobile X call brought the . The call confirmed what many already know: World Mobile isn’t just participating in the DePIN space, it’s leading it $WMTx
Introduction & Market Overview
@HTX_Global kicked off the conversation with a warm welcome, recognizing @WorldMobileTeam as a project that’s not only forward-thinking but fundamentally different. Building for the future in ways few others are.
Mr. Telecom, World Mobile’s CEO, introduced himself. Elja Boom jumped in to describe World Mobile as one of the rare crypto projects that operates on a real-world sharing economy, generating actual utility, revenue, and value.
Before diving into the chain itself, Mr. Telecom offered a broader take on the crypto landscape. He emphasized the strength of the current regulatory environment in the U.S. for Web3 and DePIN, and how World Mobile is capitalizing on it. With a focus on sustainable, user-based growth, World Mobile is not building for hype cycles but for consistent value, with subscribers, revenue, and now, a fully functional Layer 3 chain on the horizon.
Real World Metrics
HTX noted a rising interest in WMTX @wmchain, with over $6M in trading volume on their platform alone. While some are chasing altcoin season, Mr. Telecom reminded everyone that speculation or hype isn’t the same as sustainability. World Mobile, unlike most, is already bringing in real-world revenue, and that’s clearly reflected on their new metrics dashboard available on Ecosystem Metrics
Currently, they’ve connected over 2 million users in emerging markets. And the scope? Massive. Half of the planet remains unconnected, and telecom is a $3.5 trillion industry. The potential to connect and empower the underserved, while creating income through the sharing economy, is at the heart of World Mobile’s vision.
Market Focus: USA, South Korea & Beyond
The second half of 2025 is all about strategic expansion, with the U.S. and South Korea leading the charge. Mr. Telecom emphasized that, like traditional telecom companies, World Mobile doesn’t need bull markets to succeed. They’re building a resilient foundation that mirrors the real-world telecom model but on-chain, creating a version of Web3 that doesn’t live or die by market sentiment.
While alt season might boost visibility, the goal is long-term viability. World Mobile is constructing the infrastructure now to thrive with or without market hype. This is about building a telecom-powered community operated Web3 company that lasts decades, not cycles.
World Mobile Chain: Why a Layer 3?
@HTX_Global gave a definition of World Mobile Chain: a telecom-first, EVM-compatible Layer 3 built on Base. It delivers fast, secure, and low-cost transactions, with easy to deploy decentralized applications.
Mr. Telecom explained the rationale behind becoming a Layer 3. Traditional blockchain architectures didn’t suit telecom’s needs. So, after multiple iterations, the team landed on a custom Layer 3 design. It combines a high-speed ledger with an Earth Node-powered mobile core. The result is a breakthrough solution that isn’t just a blockchain. It’s a purpose-built system that logs, validates, and secures telecom data at scale.
With 1,000 decentralized Earth Nodes acting as a distributed mobile core, this network isn’t theoretical. The goal is about logging millions of transactions and delivering services in the field. World Mobile believes this model can be adopted by other telecom providers worldwide. Partnerships with companies like Dito are already signed, with more on the horizon to be announced soon.
Earth Nodes: The Beating Heart of the Network
When asked about Earth Nodes, Mr. Telecom broke it down into three layers:
- Air Nodes — These are the radios, generating revenue whenever someone connects. Users subscribe, either retail or wholesale, and that data is logged.
- Earth Nodes — These nodes validate the usage, ensuring data isn’t faked or gamed. Through DIDs and proprietary protocols, every transaction, like how many GBs a user consumed, is verified and posted on the chain.
- Consumer Data Ownership — One of the biggest shifts: with Earth Nodes, users can finally see and control their data. Unlike traditional telecom providers who own your data, World Mobile ensures that the user retains control and transparency.
Earth Nodes also power the VPN for every user, decentralized storage, and a suite of secure, privacy-first services. Everything is built to be FCC-compliant. Security, privacy, and user empowerment are at the core.
WMTX Token Utility & Staking
HTX turned the spotlight to the $WMTX token. Mr. Telecom detailed its utility:
- Staking — Core staking is already live. As Earth Nodes come online, staking will shift to delegated staking, either via Earth Nodes or Air Nodes.
- Premier Staking — Stake towards your own mobile plan, unlocking benefits like higher affiliate rewards.
- Affiliate Program — Earn up to 15% more when premier staked.
- Scan-for-Points — A gamified app to map connectivity. Points may be redeemable in the future for WMTX or services.
- Gas on World Mobile Chain — As more dApps and enterprises onboard, demand for WMTX will rise. With a 2B max supply, scarcity becomes a factor.
Buybacks are happening regularly, driven by actual revenue, not speculation. VPN services bring in $1–$2/month per user, data storage another $0.25–$0.75/month. That revenue buys tokens from the open market and pays Earth Node operators, alongside inflation rewards.
Multi-Chain, Multi-Market, Max Adoption
From day one, World Mobile intended to be multi-chain. The move from WMT to WMTX reflects this evolution. Today, WMTX lives across Cardano, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and now Solana via Chainlink’s CCIP Transporter.
The mission is clear: bring 1 billion users into the sharing economy by 2030. And do it through inclusion, decentralization, and community-driven growth.
Mainnet & What Comes Next
The public testnet is already live. App developers are deploying, Earth Node operators are testing. Tens of millions of transactions have been processed. And the mainnet is just 2–3 weeks away if everything continues to go smoothly.
Once launched, the focus shifts to the Earth Nodes and onboarding millions of users, particularly in the U.S. and South Korea. The team aims to hit 15–25 million users by year-end, with the potential to reach 100 million.
The U.S. Opportunity & HD1 Platform
Mr. Telecom laid out the massive opportunity in the U.S.: 30% of landmass is still unconnected. Over 40 million Americans have no access. And even those who are connected, 40% are underserved.
Enter HD1, World Mobile’s all-in-one platform, launching soon. Designed to help the community roll out and manage mobile networks independently, HD1 embodies years of learning by World Mobile. With just tens or hundreds of thousands of contributors, World Mobile can scale to millions of Air Nodes globally.
Growth, Community & Affiliate Power
The growth model is community-first. Air Nodes now outnumber Starbucks rooftops, and it’s just the beginning. Affiliates can earn $10K–$50K for bringing in 1,000 customers.
World Mobile gives back 85% of its revenue to the community. This isn’t theory, it’s happening now. It’s not about buying hardware. It’s about redefining ownership and impact.
Chainlink Partnership
Asked about Chainlink’s CCIP post, Mr. Telecom confirmed World Mobile has been working with Chainlink for some time. As one of the first projects to bridge across to Solana via CCIP, this is a high-impact partnership. Chainlink is helping World Mobile scale cross-chain functionality, and their shared vision around crypto utility and real life impact makes them a strong match.
Community Involvement: How to Join
Beyond buying WMTX, anyone can get involved:
- Become an affiliate
- Host an Air Node
- Join official channels on Telegram, Discord, or visit http://worldmobile.io
- Apply for marketing roles or become part of the HD1 rollout
Earth Nodes are highly limited (1,000 max), but Air Nodes are accessible, starting around $55 and scaling up to 100K for the largest models. There’s space for everyone in the network.
Final Thoughts from Mr. Telecom
Every World Mobile SIM — travel, U.S., or global — comes with a built-in VPN. With identity theft insurance of up to $5M, premier staking benefits, and unparalleled data transparency.
And above all, World Mobile’s mission is about one thing: Connectivity. Because in this world, connection is the ultimate power-up.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
