Staking comes with different options, each offering unique benefits. Here’s a simple breakdown:
- If you don’t have a World Mobile phone plan and want to maximize WMTx rewards, your options are Core staking or EarthNode staking.
- If you do have a World Mobile phone plan, premier staking gives cashback on your mobile plan and extra perks.
Ways to Stake WMTx
1. Premier Staking (Requires a Mobile Plan)
- Available only to subscribers of World Mobile’s U.S. cellular plans.
- Get mobile plan cashback (2.5% cashback on your mobile plan for 100 WMTx locked in staking, up to 15% for 250 000 WMTx).
- Unlock VIP perks, priority access, and exclusive benefits in the ecosystem.
- Membership is divided into six tiers, with increasing rewards based on your stake.
- Additional perks include discounts on AirNode purchases, better affiliate rewards, global roaming bonuses, Scan for Points boosts and more.
Great for Airnode operators, Hex Guardians and affiliates.
2. Core Staking (No Mobile Plan Required)
- A standalone staking option on the World Mobile Chain (similar to the previous Vault Staking).
- Stake WMTx in 30-day epochs to earn rewards.
- Offers an estimated 5% APY, but rewards are not guaranteed and may vary based on network conditions.
- Does not include phone plan perks.
Low Risk, basic rewards, no perks. Great for token holders.
3. EarthNode Staking (No Mobile Plan Required)
- Delegate WMTx to an EarthNode and earn a share of the node’s rewards.
- Offers higher potential rewards than core staking, but earnings depend on factors like the EarthNode’s location, performance, and operator fees.
- Helps process transactions, secure the network, and participate in governance.
EarthNode staking is ideal for those who want to support the network while earning higher rewards, though returns vary based on node performance.
