With WMTx now operating across multiple chains, including Cardano Base and WMC directly, I’m curious how staking will work moving forward. Will we be able to stake on all chains? If so, will rewards differ depending on where you’re staking from?
Hey @Major, welcome!
Yes, staking will be available on both Cardano and EVM chains. The setup will differ slightly between them, but you won’t need to bridge if you prefer to stake on the chain you already use.
Rewards should be the same base rate (around 5% for core staking), though things like fees or payout timing might vary depending on the chain. More details will be shared once everything’s live, so stay tuned.
What I really appreciate about this setup is that it’s genuinely multichain. If they had fully shifted to Base and left Cardano holders behind, it would’ve been a slap in the face, especially after so many of us backed the project from the start when it launched on Cardano.
Personally, I’m sticking with Cardano. Low fees, familiar tools, and I just trust the ecosystem more. But it’s great that the ETH/BASE/BNB side is there for folks who prefer that route. Having the choice makes a big difference.
Hey @Major,
Core Staking is now officially live on both Cardano (via the Vault) and Base (EVM smart contract). You can choose whichever chain you already hold WMTx on—no bridging required unless you’re moving between ecosystems.

Both staking options offer similar rewards (up to ~5% APY), but the flow is a bit different: Cardano uses snapshot-based staking through the Vault, while Base uses a rolling epoch via smart contract.
