What if I can’t recover my old Vault with the seed phrase?

I saved my Vault seed phrase but it’s not working anymore (just says it’s invalid). Is there a way to recover access, or do I need to create a new Vault from scratch?

It depends on which Vault you’re trying to recover.

  1. If it’s an old Vault from before the WMTx migration, it won’t work anymore. You’ll need to create a new one.
  2. If it’s a new Vault, double-check the 24 words you’re using. If you have the JSON backup file and have your password, try restoring that way too. Also worth clearing your cache or trying a different browser.

If none of that works, it probably means the password wasn’t recorded correctly. Unfortunately, there’s no recovery option. In that case, you’ll need to create a new Vault and re-verify your wallet address.
