Questions About WMTX Staking and Rewards

Hey everyone,

I’ve been holding WMT for a while and have a few questions about staking and rewards that I’m hoping someone here can help with. Has staking restarted yet? I’ve been trying to stay updated, but I’m not sure if I’ve missed anything recently. I keep hearing it’s coming “soon,” but any clarity on this would be really appreciated.

Also, I claimed some rewards before the migration, but they’re not showing up in either of my wallets. Is this normal, or should I be worried?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi @Black_Wombat,

Staking hasn’t restarted yet, and there’s no specific date announced just yet. That said, the team has mentioned that it’s being worked on, and we should hear something soon. From what I’ve seen, the DPoS system (+EN software) is being audited right now, so hopefully, we’re just a few weeks away rather than months.

About your rewards—they could be temporarily unavailable during the transition. Once the new staking program goes live, any rewards you had before the migration should show up as WMTx in your wallet.

Are there any news?

Cardano audit is staking more time than expected. In the short term:

  • Vault staking will be restarted if a Cardano solution is not ready
  • Otherwise original staking plans will launch in Q1

Hey @Black_Wombat, great news! Core Staking is officially live :tada:

You can now stake your WMTx either on Cardano (through the new Vault) or Base (EVM) using a Web3 wallet. Both options are up and running, and rewards are rolling out on a monthly basis—no lock-ups required as long as your tokens stay staked through each epoch.

Here’s where to jump in:

As for those earlier rewards from before the migration: if you use the same email and wallet address when setting up your new Vault, you’ll be able to recover any unclaimed rewards from the old system in a future update—it’s on the roadmap, just not live yet.

Let us know if you run into any issues getting started.
