Network Revenue: Real Users Fueling the Sharing Economy

Tracking network usage and revenue growth across regions
Data current as of 5 July

Network revenue measures the actual value generated by people using the World Mobile network. It includes payments for mobile plans (see USA Plans), data services, and other usage-based activity. Unlike metrics tied to hardware or tokens, this metric reflects customer adoption: users actively connecting, consuming, and paying for services.

This makes network revenue one of the clearest indicators of meaningful traction.

We track this monthly as part of the Monthly Metrics Analysis, using official data from the Ecosystem Metrics Dashboard.

Cumulative Network Revenue

$1,109,029 (as of June 2025)

  • Asia: $634,724
  • USA: $474,305

Network revenue has grown steadily throughout 2025, driven primarily by increased usage in Asia. The region recorded no revenue at all until December 2024, but quickly became the lead contributor as deployments scaled and mobile service adoption increased.

The United States, by contrast, has shown consistent but slower growth. Revenue has hovered near $50,000 per month for most of the year, reflecting a market that is active but not yet accelerating.

In June 2025, monthly network revenue reached a new high of $234,934. Asia contributed $176,280 while the US added $58,654. This marked the strongest month yet in terms of actual usage, and confirmed that Asia is now generating the majority of real network traffic.
