Is there a limit to the number of devices on hotspot (advanced plan)?

I rely on my phone’s hotspot when traveling, especially in hotels where public WiFi isn’t ideal. I usually connect my tablet and my kid’s Switch so we can stay online without any issues.

Does World Mobile limit how many devices can connect to a hotspot at once? I typically use around 30GB a month and just want a reliable way to stay connected across all my devices.

Hey @sawago,

So first things first: World Mobile’s Advanced Plan gives you unlimited data, with 30GB of that as high-speed priority. After you hit 30GB, your speeds might get deprioritized based on network congestion, but your hotspot still works, just potentially slower.

Now, as for how many devices you can connect via hotspot: World Mobile doesn’t specifically limit the number of devices on their end. There’s no mention of a cap like “3 devices max” or anything like that in their plan details. So from their side, you’re good.

That said, your phone itself is usually what sets the limit. Most phones support somewhere between 5 to 10 simultaneous connections, depending on the make/model. Once you go past that, things might get slower just from the phone trying to juggle too much at once.

Given that you’re only connecting your tablet and your kid’s Switch, you’re well within safe territory. You shouldn’t have any issues, especially if you’re staying under or around that 30GB mark each month.

To sum it up: no official cap from World Mobile, and your setup sounds totally reasonable for how the hotspot’s designed to be used. Just keep an eye on your data usage if you’re streaming or downloading bigger files, especially toward the end of your priority data.
