Hey AirNode Operators!
How are you handling insurance for your AirNodes and infrastructure?
World Mobile doesn’t insure devices but connects US operators with third-party insurance providers, and we’re really curious to hear about everyone’s experiences - both in the US and internationally.
The official stance is pretty straightforward:
World Mobile Group are not liable for any insurance products. Ensuring any hardware is the responsibility of the Operator.
Let’s start a community discussion about this. We’re particularly interested in hearing about your coverage:
- Who’s your provider and what influenced your choice?
- What are you paying in premiums? (if you’re comfortable sharing)
- What’s actually covered? (hardware damage, natural disasters, theft?)
- Any claim experiences worth sharing?
For those outside the US - how did you approach this? Local providers might have varying familiarity with telecoms infrastructure, so we’d love to hear how you navigated those conversations.
And for everyone - what preventive measures have you put in place that might have helped with insurance rates? Things like security cameras, lightning protection, or specific installation standards?
Sharing our experiences could really help both new and existing operators make more informed decisions about protecting their investments. Plus, we might discover some best practices that benefit the whole community.
Looking forward to hearing your stories and insights!
