The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique number assigned to your iPhone. It’s used for identifying your device, unlocking it, reporting it if lost, or troubleshooting with World Mobile. Here are the easiest ways to find it.
Check in Settings
This is the simplest method, as long as your iPhone is functional.
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Select About
- Scroll down to find the IMEI
If you need to copy it, tap and hold the number to copy it to your clipboard.
Dial a Code
Even if your iPhone screen is locked, you can quickly retrieve the IMEI using this method.
- Open the Phone app
- Dial *#06# and press Call
- Your IMEI will appear on the screen
Check the Device Itself
If your iPhone isn’t turning on, you can still find the IMEI physically on the device.
- iPhone 6s and later (except iPhone 14 models): The IMEI is printed on the SIM tray.
- Older iPhone models: The IMEI is printed on the back of the device.
Check Your Apple Account
If you’ve lost your iPhone but need the IMEI, you can find it through Apple’s website.
- Go to appleid.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Select your iPhone from the list of devices
- The IMEI will be displayed
This method is useful if you no longer have the device but need the IMEI for unlocking or reporting it stolen.
