Does the Global Access (Data only) also comes with a phone number?

For those considering the Global Access plan, does it come with a phone number, or is it strictly data-only? Are there any options to add one?

The Global Access plan is designed for data only—it doesn’t support native voice or SMS, so you won’t receive a phone number with this plan. If your device supports dual SIMs, you can keep your primary SIM for calls and texts and use the Global Access eSIM for data.

You can also use over-the-top apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Instagram, or Skype for voice and messaging over your data connection. As of now, there are no announced plans to offer an add-on for voice or SMS with the Global Access plan.

Based on what’s been shared so far, the Global Access plan looks to be data-only, no phone number, no native voice or SMS. It’s mainly aimed at people who want roaming across countries without having to swap out their main number.

There hasn’t been any mention of add-ons for voice or SMS, and honestly, it doesn’t seem like that’s what the plan is built for.
