Hey all,
I’ve been following the recent noise around Iagon’s patent on decentralized compute/storage and saw some folks suggesting that it might cause legal problems for World Mobile. Given WM’s EarthNodes and potential storage services, is there any real risk here? Could Iagon actually come after WM legally?
Honestly, it’s just noise at this stage.
Iagon’s patent is broad and somehow vague, stuff like “decentralized marketplace for compute and storage” that a lot of projects have been doing for years. There’s no shared code, and WM didn’t copy anything (it’s not even out yet!). The two aren’t even in the same lane: WM is focused on telecom, identity, and connectivity, not just storage or compute like IAG.
This all started because Iagon assumed there was some kind of partnership that never happened. Now they’re throwing shade to stay relevant. No legal action has been taken, and there’s nothing solid behind the claims. Just drama imo, not a real threat.
