I saw there’s a way to export a JSON file from the Vault settings. If I do that, can I use it to access the same Vault in a different browser or device?
Hey @Oreo,
Yes, that’s exactly what the JSON file is for. When you export it from the Vault settings, you’re saving an encrypted backup of your Vault that you can use to restore access in a different browser or on another device.
To use it, just go to the Vault site and choose the “Recover Vault” option. Upload the JSON file and enter your Vault password. That’ll restore your Vault without needing to re-do wallet verification.
It’s a good idea to keep a copy of that file stored somewhere safe in case you ever clear your browser cache or need to switch devices.
Just a heads up, this only works with Vaults created in the current version of the staking system. It won’t work for old Vaults from before the WMTx migration.
